Most of our software is licensed per server as you can see on the pricing grids, including the SIP libraries and the softphones. To be able to send your license, we must know the address (domain and/or IP) of your SIP server(s) to be able to generate your copy. These can be also private domains or private LAN IP addresses.
Usually the Basic and Standard license can be used with one single server, the Advanced license can be used with 4 servers, while the Gold license can be used with 10 or unlimited servers as described here and here. The address of your SIP server(s) are just hardcoded into your licensed copy to protect your license. Otherwise anybody could just download or extract it from your app/service and use it anywhere else, turning our software into a free-to-all solution, however we are not an open-source shop and we reserve the right to protect our software license. This also means that your licensed copy doesn't depend on any central license service (there is no any "call to home" or DRM functionalities built into our software for licensing reasons).
The software will work only with the allowed severs and will not register and/or will disconnect the calls with servers/peers which are not on your allowed list.
These hard coded addresses represents only the possible SIP server addresses. You can still set the actual server to be used with the "serveraddress" parameter or by typing the server address on the login screen (if you are using our user interface or skin).
