Dear devels I'm trying MizuDroid since it advertises "Transport protocols: UDP, TCP, HTTP (HTTP available with tunneling only) Built-in tunneling and encryption (for both the signaling and the media)" I'm using the 3G network of Bouygues Telecom operator in France, and apparently it blocks UDP protocol (although Skype manages to pass through). I tested MizuDroid over Wifi and it works fine. But when I switch to 3G it Fails to Register. It still fails even if I check the 'Tunnelling and encryption' option; on Wifi it also fails to register when using this option. I'm using Sipgate as a SIP provider. Am I doing something wrong? How can I configure MizuDroid to bypass the operator's blocking of VoIP traffic? Thank you Liviu

Hello

Thank you for posting firstly on our new Android softphone related forum.

Our tunneling server or softswitch is needed for the encryption to work.
You can read the details here: http://www.mizu-voip.com/Products/VoIPTunnel.aspx
This is a viable option only for VoIP service providers. Otherwise you should find a provider using our servers (contact us at info@mizu-voip.com if you need our recommendation)

PS: We have just released a new version which was also published on the Android market. It should appear within a few days.

Hello
And thanks for the quick reply.

Does Mizutech provide a proxy server that would allow using any SIP provider with MizuDroid on a network blocking UDP? If technically this is feasible and you provide it to users free for non-commercial use, with a bit of marketing this should bring oodles of users for your products.

As for MizuDroid in the Market, I've just tested and it installed fine and seems to work OK.

I have sent you a service provider by email.

Currently we don't provide any voip services except for VoIP service providers.
Our windows softphone and webphone also supports tunneling and encryption and it is used in the UAE and other voip blocked countries unders several different brand-name.

Regarding MizuDroid from the market: it might be possible that you neeed to completely unistall the old version and only then to install the new one (this is because the previous unpublished version was without versioning control)

Like landroni, I am looking for a solution to bypass the blocking of SIP/VOIP by Bouygues Telecom. Until now I have not yet used MizuDroid and only SipDroid but I may change if you can suggest a way to work with my SIP provider ( freephonie.net ). If a solution with a tunnel or something else can be considered, please tell me. I rent a linux server to host few services for my own use and I am ready to deploy what it is needed.

Best regards,

Hello

Currently we provide our voip tunneling and encryption solutions only for voip service providers and not for endusers. However we plan to open this service also for endusers soon (in around 2 months)

 Hello,

I was wondering if you have openned any service for end users yet. I have the same problem as everyone which is VOIP blocking on 3G network. Can you suggest a Mizu service or any other company which uses mizu servers so I can bypass the VOIP blockage?

Regards
