Greetings,

We have purchased the advanced plan of Mizu Webphone and it is working very good so far, but we've faced couple issues and hopefully there's a solution for each of them  :

  1. Enabling the loudspeaker for iOS by default instead of the internal one, is there some flag or work-around to fix this, because currently it's using the phone internal speaker unless the user taps on the microphone icon in the address bar.
  2. Browser support for WebRTC shows that for iOS Safari only versions 11.2+ support WebRTC, what about prior versions of iOS Safari? is there a polyfill or fallback to support older versions, considering Java and Flash are not suitable options for iOS AFAIK

Thanks in Advance

Regarding iOS/loudspeaker:

I just made a test on my iOS test phone and i can't reproduce this problem. Which iOS version are you using? Can you upload a log about this problem? (If you are running the softphone skin, then you can upload log from the Help menu). Please send us the details by email to webphone@mizu-voip.com.

Regarding WebRTC support for Safari:

Yes, Safari added WebRTC support only in v.11.
For earlier versions the webphone can use the "app" engine as a fallback as there is no any technology which would allow VoIP calls straight from the browser on old iOS versions. The app engine is basically a native iOS application, but comes with auto-provisioning, so most of the settings you set in the webphone_api,js are applied automatically also for the app.
