At this moment there are only a few post in the forums but we have to start somewhere. The reason is that most of our customer are VoIP service providers and we provide direct support usually by email. With our new Webphone, Softphone and Android SIP clients targeting retail customers we hope that more and more of you will visit our forums and we can build a valuable information center here. Feel free to ask anything related to our solutions. We will check the posts at least once per week if nobody else will respond before. Thank you for posting in the forum!

I have been trying to get the Mizu Voip Server to work for several days now.  Kept getting an iscallshop field missing error - eventually I had to edit SQL server to make this go away by adding a bit field called iscallshop.

But, now that I have the system supposedly running without errors, I can not find any useful information on how to connect my server to my Voip provider.  I need to bring calls in from the world using my voip provider, who provides me with SIP credentials.  I can easily connect to the voip provider with a number of different softphones, including 3CX - its simple - I just type into the phone's settings a username and password for my account, and then a sip domain name.  The softphone instantly connects to the provider for incoming and outgoing calls.

None of the information in your tutorial, admin guide or help files tells how to do this simple and actually make it work.  How can I connect the server to my Voip provider so that I can receive calls from them, and send calls through them?  They act as a Sip trunk.  Do I use traffic senders?  This is the most basic of functions in order to make the mizu server act as a PBX - without being able to send and receive actual voice traffic, the server isn't usable.

How can I connect to a Voip provider and actually send and receive calls?

Your post is already 2 week old, but i will still respond to it, maybe you or somebody else are still interested in it.

To setup outbound routing you will have to create a "SIP server" user.

Then on the "Edit" tab you will find a "Proxy authentication" section on the bottom. There you can add the username and password to your service (even multiple accounts are supported)

After you are ready with the sip serve user, you will have to add it to your routing.

Please note that we have just refreshed our installer. Now it should be more easy to start with it and troublefree.

Best Regards,
Istvan Fenesi
